Things are moving right along for the next Hillcrest in Haiti team! A group of 11 people will be serving at GLA from August 7-17. They will once again be running a VBS for the toddler kids, and spending a lot of time cuddling and playing with the kids in the nursery. We are all very, very excited to go! We've been having team meetings for the past few months, learning more about Haiti, the language and culture, and preparing fundraisers for our trip.
The team this year will be comprised of Kristin, Cheryl and Emily Vanderwell, Kim and Kelsey VandeVusse, Kim and Tori Schreur, Sarah DeKoster, Emily Kiel, Linda Wesseldyke and Julie Busscher. We all appreciate your prayers as we continue to plan our trip and our fundraisers.
Plans are in the works for a benefit week at Painted Trillium, a car wash, bake sale, and possibly a sub sale too! Keep your eyes and ears open at Hillcrest for more details to come! The popcan drive will be continuing on until we leave.
